Vicky Anderson Ltd is an award winning rural small business based in North Yorkshire. Due to expansion of the business and promotions within the business we are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing assistant/Office Administrator. The position is part time (17 hours per week – worked over 2 days with some flexibility to attend events) with additional hours as the business requires. They will work within both the business services and training sections of the business alongside working with the business owner. The role includes marketing the business and all office work. This position is not home based. A driving licence is essential as travel during the working day is likely, but a car will be provided, or mileage paid. The office is based 5 miles East of Northallerton and based in a rural location.

We require a fun, self-starter who is keen to collaborate with us to grow the business and aims to be a part of a small team who are all very passionate about the business and work hard to create a highly successful and happy working environment.

We work with various tools for the marketing of the business and so some knowledge of the following will be required: –

Mailchimp – we send out monthly news and newsletters which we produce ourselves

Canva – all our social media posts are created on this, and some creativity and design flair will help the successful candidate

Use of Databases – we record all our information on a database or CRM and so knowledge or experience of this will be helpful but not necessary.

WordPress – the successful candidate will be responsible for updating the two websites www.va-training.co.uk and www.lisaj59.sg-host.com they will also be required to provide content for the website including taking photographs and videos and editing to upload.

As we are becoming more involved with various media outlets, we provide editorial for various media outlets so the ability to write about the business and our activities on a regular basis will be required

The successful candidate will post to all social media and so some knowledge and enthusiasm for all platforms will be required including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, twitter and Tik Tok

As part of the role there will be requirement for knowledge of Microsoft office, including Outlook, Teams, word, excel and PowerPoint.

8 – 10 hours per week some of which could be done remotely. £10-£11 per hour depending on experience. Bonus scheme once probationary period complete. Health scheme available.

As there will be a requirement to attend networking meetings to promote the business which may often be out of hours or not within the normal working hours there needs to be an ability for flexibility.

The right candidate will grow with the business, and further hours may be available.

This is currently a fixed term appointment until 31st December 2023.
